His family has a strong background in Afro-Cuban music, which he honors in his work. Beavers became a GRAMMY® Award-winning artist and recognized figure in various musical communities.

After moving to New York City, Beavers earned a Master’s Degree in Composition from the Manhattan School of Music and worked with NEA Jazz Master Eddie Palmieri to transcribe and arrange music. Beavers explores diverse musical styles, creating engaging music that appeals to many audiences. He is recognized for his role in several Grammy-nominated projects and won a Grammy for producing the Spanish Harlem Orchestra’s anniversary album, along with a nomination for his own project, Art of the Arrangement, in 2018.

As a versatile professional, Beavers balances his roles as a producer, educator, and creative consultant. He teaches at The College of New Jersey and is involved with the Riverview Jazz organization. He started his record label and production house, Circle 9, to help musicians navigate the industry. In 2021, he received a grant for his innovative work Luna, which blends various musical styles.
