Wayne Wallace Bio
Wayne Wallace is a professor of jazz studies and trombone at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, with seven Grammy nominations. He is known for blending African American-Latin music and has received honors in the DownBeat Critics Poll. Wallace is adept in arranging and composing music and has worked in film and television. Raised in San Francisco, he learned various music styles and studied Afro-Latin music in Cuba, New York City, and Puerto Rico. He leads Patois Records and has released 13 albums, including his recent projects “Latin Jazz-Jazz Latin” and a salsa compilation.
