Rick Faulkner Bio
Trombonist and composer Rick Faulkner is known for his rich sound and energetic playing in the New York City jazz and world music scenes. His musical style includes traditional jazz, salsa, Latin jazz, and more. He has performed with notable artists like Max Roach and David Murray and was part of the ska band the Toasters from 1992-1998. Faulkner co-founded the New York Ska Jazz Ensemble and has contributed music to various recordings, TV, and film. For over twenty years, his trombone arrangement has been featured in the theme music for “Que Viva la Musica” on WFDU.
