David Torres Bio
David Torres was a Grammy Award-winning pianist, composer, and musical director, known for his work in Latin jazz and his role with the Poncho Sanchez Latin Jazz Band from 1989 to 2011. He produced numerous albums and contributed to the band’s success, winning a Grammy in 1999. Torres collaborated with notable artists like Mongo Santamaria and Chick Corea and his arrangements were used in films and TV shows. He was committed to music education, teaching Latin jazz worldwide. As a versatile musician and accomplished composer, he received multiple awards for his performances.
