Victor Mendoza Bio

Victor Mendoza is a renowned vibraphonist, producer, composer, and educator from Mexico, known for his contributions to Latin Jazz and Contemporary Jazz. He has worked with many notable musicians, including Paquito D’Rivera and Gary Burton, and has performed with various orchestras across the globe. His solo performances include prestigious appearances with several major orchestras and jazz festivals in cities like Montreal, Paris, and New Orleans, reaching an audience of around 100,000 people.
    Mendoza’s recordings, such as “If Only You Knew” and “Black Bean Blues,” have received critical acclaim. He has been recognized by Latin Beat Magazine and named a leading figure in Latin jazz by Jazziz Magazine. He directed the Contemporary Performance Graduate Program at Berklee’s Valencia Campus and has recently retired as a full-time professor. Mendoza continues to engage globally as an artist and educator, conducting master classes and lectures at international music conferences. He is a Yamaha, Vic Firth, and Zildjian Performance Artist.
