Mitch Frohman Bio
Mitch Frohman, a Bronx native and top saxophonist/flutist, graduated from Columbus High School in 1971 and earned a Bachelor of Music Education from The University of Miami in 1975. He has played with many famous musicians, including seven Grammy winners, and was with The Tito Puente Orchestra for 25 years. Mitch co-leads The Mambo Legends Orchestra and has collaborated with various artists like Celia Cruz and Cyndi Lauper. He currently leads The Bronx Horns and the Mambo Kings Dance/Show Orchestra while touring with the Grammy-winning Spanish Harlem Orchestra. His latest project is a Latin-Jazz Quartet, and he received the 2016 Latin Jazz USA Lifetime Achievement Award. He is known for his saxophone solo on the theme song for the TV show Sex & The City.
