Named after Rizo's long-running radio program on KKJZ 88.1 FM (KJazz), the group features an exceptional roster of acclaimed musicians and seamlessly blends progressive Latin jazz with classic salsa.

The ensemble's debut album, The Last Bullfighter, reached the Top 10 on the JazzWeek national jazz charts and showcased a mix of original compositions and fresh interpretations of Latin jazz classics. Their follow-up release, Tambolero, also earned national recognition, debuting in the JazzWeek Top 50 and receiving widespread acclaim.
