Michael Mossman Bio

Michael Philip Mossman has been in music since he was 17 and has worked with many famous artists. In 2013, he was nominated for a Grammy for the “Afro-Latin Ellington Suite. ” He composed music for films like “Bossa Nova” and “Chico and Rita,” which got an Academy Award nomination in 2012. He has conducted orchestras such as the Bilbao Symphonic Orchestra and arranged for groups like the Philadelphia Orchestra. A lead trumpeter and arranger on Grammy-winning albums, he has released solo albums and currently teaches at the Aaron Copland School of Music.
