After the late 1970s, he moved to Germany and was inducted into the South Texas Music Walk of Fame in 2008.

Gallardo began music at age 6 with piano and switched to trombone at 14. He studied at Del Mar Jr. College and the University of Corpus Christi and performed with prominent orchestras and artists, including Stan Kenton and Tony Bennett. He released “A Latin Shade Of Blue” in 2002 and produced “Latin Jazz Latino. ” His collaborations and recordings have gained him widespread recognition in the music community.
