Jeff Fuller Bio

Fuller is a prominent jazz bassist in the Connecticut and New York music scenes, known for his extensive touring and recording work with notable artists such as Lou Donaldson and Paquito D’Rivera. He has collaborated with jazz legends including Dizzy Gillespie and Gerry Mulligan and leads his own ensembles. In 2014, he received the Jazz Haven Award for his contributions to jazz culture. Fuller plays a custom-made Upton Concord double bass and a Ken Smith 6-string bass guitar, and his trio has released five CDs from 2014 to 2022.

He also has significant experience in Latin jazz, touring with various prominent groups and arranging for the salsa group Irazú. Fuller has received multiple commissions for his compositions and is an established educator, having taught at various institutions and coached ensembles at the Yale School of Music since 2016.
